Victor Harbor Library: African Soul Drumming Workshop

Gold coin donation; Ages 4+

Hands on rhythm drumming workshop. Caregivers are welcome to book and join in, you can enjoy this workshop together.

Bortier Okoe’s aim is to promote awareness of the true African way of life through workshops and performances. The children certainly enjoy the richness of African culture and perform with great enthusiasm.

Bortier gives a great, vibrant workshop. During the time he is with the students, they will have an opportunity to hear and try some traditional “call and response” singing and drumming, and if you are lucky, he may even get them up dancing some traditional African moves.

  • For ages 4+. caregivers are welcome to book and join in so you can enjoy this workshop together.

  • This event is to be held in the Inman Room, Victor Harbor Recreation Centre (Opposite the Civic Centre)

Our Programs and COVID-19

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, bookings are required for our programs.

Please arrive within 10 minutes of the session start time.

Limited bookings are available.

If you are unable to attend, please let the library know in advance so others can join in.

• Physical distancing is required in all sessions

• Do not attend if you’re unwell, no matter how mild your symptoms are
