The beautiful, historic Victa Cinemas first opened in 1924 with a seating capacity of 1000 people. After fire destroyed the original building it was rebuilt in the art deco style and reopened in 1934. Most of the original features have been retained to this day despite the theatre being turned into a twin cinema in 1996 by utilizing the upstairs dresscircle. The theatre is located in the main street of Victor Harbor (Ocean St) and is close to all hotels, restaurants and shopping facilities.
