Angas Plains Estate is a boutique winery in the Langhorne Creek wine region with its own rustic charm.
Phillip & Judy Cross developed Angas Plains Estate vineyard on their property on the banks of the Angas River in 1994. Serious about growing good quality grapes to produce premium fruit driven varietal wines, Angas Plains Wines’ winemaker Peter Douglas allows the wines to show the characteristics of their unique local terroir. The wines continue to achieve awards, since the first vintage of cabernet in 2002, a trend that has continued as the range has expanded and are one of the great reasons to visit.
The Cellar Door is unique with its large wooden doors and heavy reclaimed cast iron veranda post footings, it is a blend of old features and new comforts. Built in 2005 to store the vines, it has a lovely relaxed warmth to the area with enclosed seating offering views over the vines and expanding across the horizon to the distant hills.
Enjoy the wine, the rustic charm, and the great meals, which have achieved recognition by Gourmet Wine Traveler repeatedly as the best Cellar Door Food, in the Langhorne Creek.
